"After using my Dyson V7 for 5 years, it lasted less than 10 minutes before needing a recharge. I turned to batteryship.com after looking at Dyson's prices for replacement batteries -- batteryship.com was roughly half the price. I was skeptical about using a non-branded battery. But replacing the battery was a cinch -- literally three screws! -- and the batteryship model works exactly the same as Dyson's. Now I'm back to 30 minutes of use time."

BatteryShip’s Response: "Scott, thanks for your feedback. What you described is your vacuum cutting out, not the battery. If the battery was the problem it would be cutting out consistently. If random, it's almost always the vacuum trying to tell you it's having trouble breathing. The Dyson's computer senses the problem and automatically shuts off as a failsafe. That is usually caused by clogged filters or a clog in the plumbing of the vacuum or right around the core of the vacuum. We have contacted you in response to this to try to help you resolve."

BatteryShip’s Response: "Alex, thanks for your feedback. There are many reasons why you might only be seeing 9 minutes of runtime. The cause could be the battery. However, on a vacuum that old there are other reasons it could be happening too. We contacted you to get more detail about the condition of the filters (supposed to be cleaned with water and dryed at least monthly), to check for blockages, and to get more detail on any error lights and to see if the same thing is happening even with your old battery. You replied with detail and we gave you the option for a final 1 time warranty replacement or refund. Since you chose refund, we fully refunded you."

I did as you suggested and the vacuum does work well now. Obviously, your battery was a good one. I'm happy to update my review if you will let me know how to do so. I truly appreciate your help and excellent customer service."
BatteryShip’s Response: "Thank you for your feedback and for following my suggestions. Glad to hear your vacuum is working again! We have maybe 1 out of 100 of these batteries that are ever actually defective. By the time dyson owners need a new battery they also find the vacuum needs some maintenance as well and most vacuums have not seen enough general care. Filters (some models have 2 filters) must be washed regularly/monthly with water and wrung out to get all the fine almost invisible dust out to prevent the vacuum suffocating (which causes the dyson's computer to cut power automatically). Filters also need to be replaced eventually. Also buildup of a dust layer around motor core casing prevents motor from breathing, also a blockage in the vacuum's "plumbing" can cause same problem. To help customers NOT give up and NOT throw their vacuums away we provide assistance in these cases to help get your vacuum running again. GLAD THE SUGGESTIONS I SENT YOU WORKED!"
