"Received the battery as promised, changed it out as directed with the only issue being the original battery was REALLY glued in. Put everything back together and charged the Kindle up. Was dismayed to find that something has gone wrong with the Kindle, as it still gets quite warm when charging and with a full charge still goes dead in about four hours. Nothing wrong with the new battery (or, apparently with the old). I did destroy the plastic tools trying to get the Kindle back off, but had heav..."

"The battery fit and works as advertised. I am very pleased with it. The only problem was with the tools. The plastic tools that were supposed to be used to open the case failed. They bent, and once they bent were of no use."

"The new kindle fire HD 7 battery had significantly lees storage capacity than the original. Also, the original battery wat glued in and was much more difficult to remove than the instructions indicated. I would suggest a putty knife to help unstick the old battery if yours is glued as well. Overall though, it was worth the price and the effort."

Maybe you mixed up what you thought was the original HD 6 battery's capacity rating vs. an HD 7 battery's capacity rating? Those are totally different batteries.
