TPU is a replacement for hard rubber, and is renowned for many things including its: high elongation and tensile strength; its elasticity; and to varying degrees, its ability to resist oil, grease, solvents, chemicals and abrasion.

Technically TPU are thermoplastic elastomers consisting of linear segmented block copolymers composed of hard and soft segments. TPU is used in a wide assortment of industrial and commercial products.
